California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) Notice

This California Privacy Notice is for California residents and supplements the information contained in our Privacy Policy. This notice provides additional information about how we collect, use, disclose, and otherwise process personal information of California residents, either online or offline, and applies solely to residents of the State of California.

• Commercial information: Such as expense records, bill splitting calculations, and transaction details
• Internet or network activity information: Such as app usage data, interactions with our app, and error logs
• Geolocation data: Such as approximate location determined from IP address or device settings (if enabled)
• Audio, electronic, visual, or similar information: Such as profile pictures

2. Sources of Personal Information

We obtain the categories of personal information listed above from the following sources:

• Directly from you when you create an account or use our app
• Indirectly from observing your actions within our app
• From third parties that interact with us in connection with the services we perform

3. Use of Personal Information

We may use or disclose the personal information we collect for one or more of the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Sharing Personal Information

In the past 12 months, we have disclosed the following categories of personal information for a business purpose to the following categories of third parties:

• Identifiers: Service providers, analytics partners, and other users (as part of group expense sharing)
• Commercial information: Service providers and other users (as part of group expense sharing)
• Internet or network activity: Service providers and analytics partners

We do not sell personal information of any consumers, including those under 16 years of age.

5. Your Rights and Choices

As a California resident, you have the specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know: You have the right to request what personal information we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold about you
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information (though we do not currently sell personal information)
• Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your CCPA rights

6. Exercising Your Rights

To exercise your rights under the CCPA, please submit a verifiable consumer request to us by either:

• Emailing us at privacy@splitx.org
• Submitting a request through our in-app support feature

Only you, or a person that you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a request related to your personal information. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

7. Response Timing

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and provide information about how we will process the request. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period.
